If you’re ever in Nice or enjoying any other city on the French Riveria, I highly recommend making the trip over to Beaulieu to visit Villa Kérylos and Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild.
Kérylos, a beautiful Greek Revival estate, is right on the edge of the water. Each room had unique, mosaic flooring and decorated wooden ceilings – it was everything you’d dream an ancient Greek manor would look like.
Look at the level of detail to which everything is done! Such a masterpiece.
Nearby, you can also visit the extravagant Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild. Built by Baroness Béatrice de Rothschild during the Belle Epoque, the place is excessively decorated with Louis XVI-style tapestries and furniture and possesses an incredible collection porcelain and china sets.
And it gets better – look at this views!
