One of my all-time favorite restaurants in the South Bay is ViVe Sol. In case you didn’t know, I love Mexican food and ViVe Sol always gets it right.
The restaurant is off of El Camino, tucked in the back of a little parking lot behind a vacuum store and motel-looking structure. Very modest and low-key. But when you go inside, the interior is spectacular with its warm rust-colored walls and these great star-shaped hanging lanterns. Of course, I don’t have photos, but please know it’s beautiful.
For starters, I always go for the guacamole or ceviche. You can never go wrong with those, and one of their margaritas. I love a good margarita and they make some of the best!
My go-to entrees are the Sonora (which also comes in burrito form) or their enchiladas with the red sauce. Their sauces are all very tasty so you can’t really go wrong with those types of dishes. That being said, I think they usually overcook their chicken entrees so I usually go for beef. All in all, ViVe Sol is the place for a wonderful Mexican meal.
