What better place to happy hour in San Francisco than on a rooftop?! A couple months ago, a few friends and I enjoyed a bite to eat at El Techo in Mission. We had the best time! The night started off with rosé wine flights and a pitcher of sangria and then escalated from there. We grazed on chips with their fresh guacamole before consuming quesdillas with braised pork shoulder and tomato-braised beef brisket tostadas. I usually won’t risk sitting outside on a chilly night, but the heat lamps kept us so cozy. I could have stayed out there for hours!
El Techo is hidden above their sister steakhouse Lolinda, which I have yet to try. Sometimes, there’s a wait to get on the elevator that takes you up. It’s so worth it though! The food and drinks are delicious and the staff are all very friendly. Next time you’re looking for a happy hour spot, this is the place!
P.S. I heard they have a killer brunch. P.P.S. I also heard they’re currently celebrating Tamale Week (Friday, January 13th through Wednesday, January 18th). P.P.P.S. Another great place to enjoy a Hispanic Cuisine-inspired happy hour and sangria, on the waterfront!
