I’ve been looking forward to writing my first French travel post and here we are! Honfleur, a port town on the edge of Normandy, is utterly enchanting. While we were visiting Omaha Beach and Bayeux, we decided to stop by Vieux Bassin (the heart of the city) for dinner. It is right on the edge of the water so you can see all the beautiful boats coming in and out of the harbor.
One of my favorite parts of Honfleur was the architecture.
I adore Renaissance architecture (also seen in Amsterdam) and the old harbor is lined with beautiful, historic houses. It’s quite a sight to see. We enjoyed a delicious, seafood dinner al fresco and could have stayed all evening.
If you’re ever traveling through Normandy, make sure you add Honfleur to the list!
